|World Down Syndrome Day||Software AG employees in Bulgaria wore their most colorful socks in honor of World Down Syndrome Day. Because love doesn’t count chromosomes.|
|Blood donation day in Sofia||26 employees in Bulgaria donated blood to save lives—because every blood donation counts!|
|SAGathlon Contest||In keeping with the motto “Ride to work and win for your team,” Software AG employees in Bulgaria do without their cars for at least one month every year, choosing to bike or walk instead. They split up into teams and then determine who has traveled the most self-propelled kilometers in the months of June through August. The colleagues in Sofia are excited about the SAGathlon contest because they get to contribute to saving the climate while improving their health as well.|
|Move Your Feet: €8,000 for a powerchair hockey team||A marvelous €8,000 went to the players on the Black Knights power chair hockey team from Dreieich as part of the Move Your Feet initiative.|
|Move Your Feet: €8,007 for ARQUE e. V.||The Move Your Feet initiative donated €8.007 to ARQUE e. V. in Mainz.|
|Calliope mini||“Calliope mini” is a microprocessor that was developed with the support of Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. With it, children learn how to work with software and hardware through playing and manage to write their own small programs in short order. Software AG employees lead volunteer Computer AG companies where elementary school students learn with the microprocessors.|
|Blood donation day in Saarbrücken||Whenever people lose blood in an accident or surgical procedure, they depend on blood from donors. Working together with the German Red Cross, Software AG hosts a blood donation day in Saarbrücken every year.|
|DKMS Registration Campaign in Darmstadt||Our help is needed! Software AG employees in Darmstadt registered to become stem cell donors to save the lives of blood cancer patients.|
|Meals for Junior Soccer Team Members||Software AG’s corporate cafeteria in Darmstadt started serving lunch to ten players from the SV Darmstadt 98 soccer club’s development academy on January 31, 2017. That number will increase to 16 after summer vacation. The young athletes can make their own menu selections and turn them into the cafeteria team about a week in advance. This allows them to design their own nutrition plans. Rich in carbs and protein, their choices reflect their dedication to competitive sports.|
|Under the Sign of the Lily||As part of the “Under the Sign of the Lily” social campaign, Software AG has joined forces with the SV 98 Darmstadt soccer team for charitable events for people with physical and developmental disabilities. These include cooking events in the cafeteria at our headquarters in Darmstadt and the Christmas wish list campaign, where Software AG employees get to make wishes come true before Christmas for residents at the Kurt Jahn Home. Likewise, we organize an annual soccer training event for disabled athletes together with the top league team and Special Olympics Hessen.|
|Waffel Charity||Employees in Darmstadt made waffles to make their colleagues happy. And people were eating for a good cause. Waffle sales and additional donations added up to 406 euros that were donated to Darmstadt’s own Elisabethenstift hospice.|
|Move Your Feet: €7,000 for Malaysian Care||The Move Your Feet initiative made a donation of €7,000 to Malaysian Care.|
|Visit to the Asha Jeevan Home and Care Giving Centers||Software AG employees in India visited the Asha Jeevan Home and Care Giving Center, which cares for seniors who are bedridden or require special care. The colleagues from Software AG did a variety of activities with the senior citizens and donated medication, muesli and healthy drinks for about one month.|
|Kids Day Out||At the Chennai location, Software AG employees celebrated “Kids Day Out,” and all of the employees’ children were invited. The kids took part in a variety of activities and learned a bit about healthy nutrition through playing games.|
|Clothing and money donations||Software AG employees in Hyderabad collected clothing and money donations for Mahima Ministries, an NGO.|
|Participation in the CharITy Cup soccer tournament||Software AG employees in Kosice played in the CharITy Cup soccer tournament for a good cause. The event was organized by Úsmev ako dar, an organization that cares for families in crisis. The project aims to build a new crisis center for needy families.|
|The "Kilo Initiative" in Spain||Every employee donates one kilogram of food to an underprivileged household.|
|No School Day||For kids it is great news when they get an extra day off school. Not so much for their parents who have to go to work that day. Our colleagues in Tres Cantos, Madrid had the great idea of inviting the kids to the office for a day filled with all sorts of activities and fun.|
|Laptop Campaign||Children's villages receive used, but functional laptops.|
|Olimpia Unificada||Software AG employees in Madrid spent an entertaining day with Olimpia Unificada to help children with and without disabilities to come together through sports!|
|DKMS UK||Software AG UK contacted the DKMS and organized donation campaigns in its offices in Bracknell, Cambridge, London and Derby.|
|Donation for disadvantaged schoolchildren||Employees of Software AG USA donated school items for disadvantaged children in Fairfax County with FACETS Cares.|
|Bike Build for Charity||As part of the Global Marketing Team event, Software AG donated to the Common Ground Child Care Center, a charitable organization that supports families and children in Reston, Virginia (USA).|

Soccer trainingWith the help of Special Olympics Hesse, Software AG once again organized a soccer training session for people with physical or developmental disabilities.
Calliope miniSoftware AG employees volunteer in elementary school computer clubs to teach students how to work with microprocessors. Findings from the pilot project can be viewed in the form of YouTube instructional videos.
